Will the hot melt mesh film be degummed when exposed to water?

As the "new darling" of the fitting market, hot-melt mesh is being recognized and used by more and more industries. At the same time, since many industries are also contacting and using hot-melt mesh for the first time, many problems and problems in use also need to be solved urgently. For example, the most inquired recently is whether the material after the hot-melt mesh film will be degummed when exposed to water?

Will the hot melt mesh film be degummed when exposed to water?

As for whether the hot-melt adhesive mesh will be degummed in contact with water, and whether the material bonded by the hot-melt adhesive mesh will be degummed in contact with water, the key depends on which type of hot-melt mesh is used. We all know that there are four kinds of conventional hot melt adhesive mesh, namely pa hot melt mesh, pes hot melt mesh, tpu hot melt mesh, and eva hot melt mesh. There is a big difference in the washing resistance of the four hot melt adhesive films. According to the strength, it is: pes is stronger than pa, and tpu is stronger than eva. Regardless of other related compounding conditions, the pes hot melt adhesive mesh film has strong water washing resistance, followed by the pa and tpu hot melt adhesive mesh film, and the eva hot melt adhesive mesh film has poor water washing resistance.

If the eva hot melt adhesive film with poor washability is used, the bonding material will not have a problem with water in a short time, and it is generally unlikely to be degummed; if it is soaked in water for a long time, degumming is easy to occur. If you use a hot melt adhesive film with good washability, even if it is soaked in water for a long time, you don't have to worry about degumming!
