Low-melting point polyester is actually a composite fiber with a sheath-core structure, but the sheath-core is all PET. The principle of low melting point: During processing, IPA (isophthalic acid) is added to the cortex. The IPA monomer destroys the regularity of the PET molecular chain, the melting temperature and glass transition temperature of the copolyester decrease, and the crystallization ability also decreases. Decrease, that is, lower the melting point of polyester.
