What Kinds Of Dyes Are Used in Yarn Dyeing

There are many kinds of dyes for yarn dyeing, mainly including acid dyes, which are suitable for protein fiber, nylon fiber and silk. It is characterized by bright color, poor washing fastness and excellent dry cleaning fastness. It is widely used in natural dying dyeing. Cationic dyes (basic dyes), suitable for acrylic, polyester, nylon and cellulose and protein fibers. It is characterized by bright color and is very suitable for man-made fibers, but it has poor color fastness to washing and light for natural cellulose and protein fabrics. Direct dyes are suitable for cellulosic fabrics with poor washing fastness and different light fastness. However, there are many kinds of dyes for yarn dyeing, mainly including the following categories:

Acid dye, suitable for protein fiber, nylon fiber and silk. It is characterized by bright color, poor washing fastness and excellent dry cleaning fastness. It is widely used in natural dying dyeing.

Direct dyes, suitable for cellulose fiber fabrics, have poor washing fastness and different light fastness, but the color fastness of modified direct dyes will be improved.
