What is the material of hot melt yarn?

Hot Melt YarnHot melt yarn is a type of textile raw material, primarily composed of synthetic or plastic fibers. During the production process, these fibers are heated to a molten state through melting technology and then formed into yarn through methods such as spinning or twisting. Hot melt yarn is characterized by its strong wear resistance, easy cleaning, and wrinkle resistance, and is commonly used in fields such as home furnishings, clothing, and industry.

Specifically, the main components of hot melt yarn may include polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), polyamides (such as nylon, polyimide, etc.), and other polyester materials.

Hot melt yarn can be classified according to its melting point. For example, there are fully melted low-melting-point fibers, skin-core bi-component low-melting-point fibers, and low-melting-point yarns, also known as hot melt yarn. These low-melting-point fibers are achieved by adding modified monomers to conventional polymers to lower the polymer's melting point. By using different modified monomers and amounts, various fibers with different melting points can be prepared.
