Low Temperature Nylon Hot Melt Yarn is softened when heated

Low Temperature Nylon Hot Melt Yarn is softened when heated, and its bending stiffness is slightly improved with increased particle concentration. This type of yarn is a good choice for 3D flyknit upper fabrics and seamless underwear. It also provides good resistance to water and rot when washing.

The fiber used to make nylon hot melt yarn is polybutylene terephthalate-co-polyolefin isophthalate (PBTI). This is a copolyester based on a polybutylene terephthalate. It is very similar to polyester, but with a 6.73% reduced intrinsic viscosity.

The low-melt polyester multifilament yarn can be fused at temperatures from 85 to 110 degrees Celsius. The intrinsic viscosity of PBTI is 0.683 dL/g. It is important to know that the viscosity is significantly reduced in an acidic environment.

A low-temperature calendaring treatment is an effective method to produce a clean cloth surface. It is a three-step process, including pre-treatment of the cloth, low-temperature calendaring, and high-temperature setting.
