What is the difference between PES hot melt adhesive film and TPU hot melt mesh film?

PES hot melt adhesive film and TPU hot melt film are both conventional material types of hot melt adhesives in the hot melt adhesive product system, and their functions are to solve the problem of bonding and compounding of materials, in the production molding process, use method, etc. Aspects are basically the same. In addition to the same parts, what are the differences between the two materials? After all, no two materials are exactly the same.


1. Different materials and raw materials:

The difference between the two is first in terms of raw materials. The main component of TPU hot-melt mesh is polyurethane, which is an elastomer material. The color will also be divided into high transparency, transparent and white matte due to different melting points. The main component of PES hot melt adhesive mesh is copolyester, which is a white translucent material.


2. Different in terms of softness and comfort:

The difference between the two in terms of softness and comfort is still relatively large. The TPU hot-melt mesh film has very good elasticity and performs well in terms of softness and comfort. The main raw material of PES hot-melt adhesive mesh is an inelastic polymer material, so its performance in terms of softness and comfort is relatively poor, far less than that of TPU hot-melt mesh. Therefore, the scope of application of TPU hot melt mesh is also wider than that of PES hot melt mesh.


3. The difference between washing resistance and dry cleaning resistance:

Both TPU hot-melt film and PES hot-melt adhesive film have good water-washing resistance, and the water-washing resistance of PES hot-melt adhesive mesh film is better than that of TPU hot-melt film. However, the washing resistance of TPU hot-melt mesh film can meet the requirements of most industries for washing resistance. However, in terms of dry cleaning resistance, the TPU hot-melt mesh film performs poorly, and the dry cleaning resistance of the PES hot-melt mesh film is also good.


4. Differences in temperature resistance:

The high temperature resistance of TPU hot melt film is 110 degrees, and the low temperature resistance is minus 20 degrees; the high temperature resistance of PES hot melt adhesive film is above 120 degrees, and the low temperature resistance is minus 30 degrees.


5. Differences in melting point:

The melting point type of TPU hot melt film is more than that of PES hot melt adhesive film, and the melting point span is relatively large, basically both high and low temperature. The low melting point can reach 65 degrees, and the high melting point can reach 180 degrees. The melting point of PES hot melt adhesive mesh is basically about 110 degrees, and the span is relatively small!
